Winter Learning Journey Day 1 Bonus

Bonus: During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games. In your opinion, is this a fair rule? Why or why not? On your blog please tell us what you think about this interesting rule.

My opinion
I don't think it was fair because girls can be good at sports too.

  1. Hi Jerome!

I completely agree with you. I think that girls are just as capable as boys of being good athletes and competing in the Olympic Games. In fact, some of my favourite athletes are actually women and I am very excited to see them compete in Rio. One of them is a shot putter named Valerie Adams. Have you heard of her? Her brother, Steven, plays basketball in the NBA in America. I am a huge basketball fan and I watched the entire play offs earlier this year. Do you like basketball?

I hope that you are having a good holiday so far and I'll look forward to blogging with you over the next few weeks. You're doing really well. Keep it up!

    Cheers, Rachel
