Summer Learning Journey Week 4: Day 4 Activity 1

How they got their name? -
Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett met at primary school. Since then Rachel taught Anjali an appreciation for Michelangelo, Morisot, and Kruger, while in turn Anjali taught Rachel an appreciation for Outkast, Lauryn Hill, and Mobb Deep. After studying art and fashion respectively the pair began working on small scale projects before launching their brand ‘twenty-seven names’. The label name is a homage to the list of 27 people who helped to get their label off the ground. Proudly made in New Zealand since its inception, the brand’s values lie in a commitment to sustainability, ethical production and supporting local industry.

I think it's a good name, but I think they should create a new one, then use the new one after twenty seven names becomes like a boring or old name.

Hi Jerome - did you know that as well as Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett meeting at primary school and after studying art and fashion respectively the pair began working on small scale projects before launching their brand 'twenty-seven names'. The label name is a homage to the list of 27 people who helped to get their label off the ground. Keep up the good work!
