Summer Learning Journey Week 1 - Day 2 - Activity 1

I would like to visit the Tane Mahuta tree because the tree looks so humongous and huge, also it says that other countries do not have trees like this or similar to this. So this would be an exciting thing for me, I would be shocked at how it looks like in real life.

  1. Hi again Jerome

I really enjoyed reading this post on Tāne Mahuta. Can you imagine standing at the bottom of the tree and looking up? You would feel like an ant next to it.

Imagine if you had to climb it? What do you think you would need to take with you to make sure you made it to the top?

Tāne Mahuta is a Kauri tree and you are right, we are the only country in the world that has them. In fact they can only be found in the upper part of the North Island. I think that makes them pretty special.
