  1. Kia orana Jerome and welcome back to the learning journey programme. I am SOOO happy that you have joined us this holiday!

I think that you've made a great choice in selecting Australia as your country of interest. My son, Aronui, is sitting beside me as I type and he wants me to tell you that he loves Australia because he has two cousins who live in Brisbane. He went over to visit them recently and they went to the local zoo where they saw a kangaroo. It was pretty cool!

I must admit that I had no idea that there were over 200 languages spoken in Australia. That is a huge number! Are most of them first nations or aboriginal languages?

I hope that you will continue to do your awesome blogging this holiday. I can't wait to read your posts and to learn more about Australia over the next 6 weeks.

    Keep up the great work!!

    Cheers,
    Rachel

  2. Hi Jerome,

Great work finding all those cool facts! Australia is such a big place. Have you ever been there before? I'd love to go back there sometime soon. They play so many awesome sports there - especially in Melbourne where they have professional tennis, league, AFL, rugby, soccer and cricket! Now that's a lot of sport! Do you like playing any sport Jerome?

Wow, 200 languages is an awful lot. Do you speak any other languages? I wish I could! I liked your letter to your Mum as well, that's very nice of you to invite her over with you. Whereabouts in Australia does your Uncle live? I think if you were going over for a year you would be able to explore so much of the countryside!

Keep up the great work Jerome, I'm really enjoying reading your blogs :-)

    Enjoy your holidays!
    Dan.
