Summer Learning Journey D.1.A.1

Australia
I would want to go visit Australia because it would be a nice place to go for a swim and it's sunny. The other reason so I go to live with my cousins.

Reason 1:I have just found out that the population of Australia is 24.2 million and I was shocked. The reason I chose this is because I just wanted to go visit the country because it looks fun there.

Reason 2:The other reason I have just found out that it is the 6th biggest country in it's area. I chose this because I like to go see how big it is and how large it is.

  1. Jerome,
Your reasons are interesting and I especially like the care you took with your spelling and punctuation.
Can you please explain why those 2 facts made you want to choose this country.

  2. Kia orana Jerome,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey! It's awesome to have you blogging with us. I'm really looking forward to following your progress over the next few weeks.

My name is Dan, and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

Wow it looks like you have already done so many of our learning activities, well done! Maybe if you finish them early, you could go back to some of them and see if there's anything else you can think of to add? Don't forget to go and check out some of your friends blogs, and comment on theirs as well - I'm sure they'll appreciate it!

I like your reasons for wanting to visit Australia. I've got family over there too, do you get to see your cousins very often? It definitely is a big country, much bigger than New Zealand. How do you think you would feel being around all of those people?

Australia's a beautiful country, and their culture has lots of similarities to ours here in New Zealand. Is there anywhere in particular you would want to visit in Australia, or would you prefer to travel all over the country?

Keep up the awesome work Jerome, I'm super impressed with the start you have made! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your blogs :-)

    Cheers,
    Dan.

  3. G'Day Jerome,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey, I was simply AMAZED when I checked out your blog! We are just at the start of the holidays and you have been zipping through the activities! I think choosing Australia because you have cousins there is great idea. I have cousins in Australia too, they live on the Gold Coast and I love to go and visit them. Where do your cousins live? It is crazy to think there are so many people living in Australia, especially when so much of it is Outback where hardly anyone lives. Keep up the great work Jerome.
